Riverdale Farm - Halloween Boo Barn

One of my favorite places in Toronto is Riverdale Farm! We'll definitely be coming back this weekend for their annual Boo Barn where they have a haunted house, face painting, and a small pumpkin patch set up for the kids. The below picture is of Taylor last year. Holy smokes has he grown! Don't forget to bring a canned good to donate if you want to check out the haunted barn!

My siblings and I have been coming here since we were little and my parents have always brought their grand kids (our children). It's almost like a family rite of passage. It's so nice to be able share my children's visits with them and have it come full circle.

Here's Nixon on his first visit! He usually sleeps in the stroller but he stayed awake to take in some sites! In recent years, I'm always reminded of the first time Taylor got car sick on the way here. It's only a short drive from our place but the speed bumps in the area can be a real bitch. Anyone else have a toddler that pukes in the car?!

Tom and I keep thinking we want to take a trip but with a toddler that suffers from motion sickness, it's hardly an incentive to go anywhere. I feel so bad when he gets sick and it makes me want to stay close to home. Living in the city, we don't drive much... trips to the cottage and the grandparents' are just about it.

With Nixon's sleep schedule, that's all we're up for at the moment anyways but we keep thinking we should go away. I'm also not really interested in flying with all the luggage, car seats, stroller, pack n plays, etc. (now for two!) I think we'll stick to our Toronto musings until we really get the itch!
