Summer is long gone... Like, beyond gone... like, snowflakes in the air gone. Time to take a stab at all the cool winter fashion trends that have been popping up. Even if it is on the early side!

Part of me is already mourning winter but the other half is still having fun with the luxe fabrics and breathing new life into my every day basics. Clearly it wasn't that chilly when I took these pics. Holy hell is Mother Nature pissed! lol

Velvet has been a winter staple for ages. It waseven found in China dating back several ancient dynasties.  It’s luxurious, soft and thick enough to keep you warm on a chilly day. Clearly here, I’m wearing a tank top embracing the last bit of warmth before the weather kicks us in the teeth lol

The oxblood colour is making its mark again this year. It’s the only shade of red I’ll wear (except when Canada Day rolls around!) I always fall hard for the autumn/winter colour pallets. They’re just so chic!

When I took these photos, we were just on our way to grab a quick brunch at Sunset Grill (something we do far too often!lol) and then went for a family walk before heading home for Taylor’s nap. It’s a weekend ritual that we’re hoping won't be too impacted when the real cold weather hits. It’s something that we really appreciate and foster as a family to chill out and connect.
